Yank Technologies, the developer of disruptive long range, high power wireless charging solutions, has been named the Overall Winner of the INNOspace Masters Challenge. This award recognizes Yank Technologies’ existing work in the space and automotive sectors along with their products’ potential to support Moon-to-Mars Initiatives, electrification, and automation on a global scale.

The INNOspace Masters is a competition sponsored by the German Space Agency, European Space Agency, Airbus, Mercedes-Benz, and OHB to evaluate and foster emerging technologies in the automotive and aerospace fields, highlighting innovation, product-market fit, and market potential. Out of the 500 global participants in 24 different countries, Yank Technologies was selected as the winner of the Mercedes Cars2Space Challenge 2025 and the overall winner of the entire INNOspace Masters competition. The Mercedes Cars2Space Challenge is a competition category within the INNOspace Masters whereby Mercedes-Benz evaluated and verified future mobility technologies that are enabled by ground-breaking aerospace developments.

“This is an exciting achievement that furthers our relationships with leading European commercial companies and government agencies to accelerate the implementation of our wireless power solutions on a global scale,” said Josh Yank, CEO of Yank Technologies.

Yank Technologies’ awarded wireless power systems for rovers withstand the harsh environmental conditions of space and the accumulation of regolith on lunar and planetary surfaces. Traditional wired and contact-based solutions have exposed connection terminals, which are subjected to dust and debris buildup, affecting the system’s reliability. With the implementation of Yank Technologies’ wireless charging systems, lunar and Mars rovers will receive reliable power to enable greater surface exploration activities. These innovations are applicable and translatable to commercial automation both within next-generation vehicle interiors and at manufacturing facilities. Collaborating with Mercedes-Benz, Yank Technologies will explore multiple applications for these novel systems to increase automation, electrification, and reduce complex cabling for future products.
